The Mountaineer

At NMSU I’m working towards a degree in business, but I’m still able to head out to the mountains when they call, and discover what they have to offer as well.

One of the things I love most about going to school at New Mexico State University is living in southern New Mexico. You are not limited only to the beautiful desert views of the Organ Mountains outside Las Cruces, but you are just an hour drive to places like Cloudcroft and Sunspot in the Sacramento Mountains. They offer a quick getaway for where I am able to camp under the stars and explore the quiet valleys.

It’s in these moments that I am thankful to be able to enjoy the land around us. New Mexico offers some of the most scenic and breathtaking views of the southwest.

I’m not just living and going to school, but I’m experiencing some of the richest outdoor opportunities that our state has to offer.
